Post-Adoption Follow-Up
If you’re like most rescuers, you’ll be a little sad to see your foster cat go, even if you’re happy that it finally got adopted! Maybe you already asked for updated stories and pictures about your adopted animal. Even so, it’s a good idea to follow up with the adopter a week, a month, or even several months following adoption to be sure that everything is going smoothly. Make yourself available to answer questions.
Celebrate!
All that hard work, care, and love paid off and your foster cat is in a happy new home. You have single-handedly improved the life of your foster cat and prevented future litters of homeless kittens. Now it’s time to find the next stray (or more likely, let it find you)…
We hope this guide was helpful and that you will share it with others who are looking for help adopting out their favorite strays.
