Mr. Magoo was a local favorite tom in the Squirrel Hill section of West Philadephia. When we first picked him up, he was filthy and ill-mannered. But thanks to his dedicated foster mom, Mr. Magoo was able to clean himself up and let his unusual personality shine through. Magoo was adopted by a great family who couldn't resist his fluffy tail and goofy personality. So far, his favorite past-time is meowing and pawing at the microwave. Stay out of trouble, Magoo!
Josie was living on the streets, being fed behind a West Philadelphia office. Too outgoing and friendly to be left to her own devices, we brought her in for placement. One look at her crimpy ear and she was happily adopted by her new owners. Now named Cambria ('Bree), she is showing-off her agility in her new home--sleeping on banisters, doing circus flips and perching on open doors. For her spectacular peformances, she demands to be rewarded with daily kisses along with a snuggle (which isn't a problem!).
Sophie and her kittens came to us from the local animal shelter. The kittens found homes quickly, but Sophie languished in foster care for over a year. Finally someone fell in love with her! Who better to understand a tempermental calico than a sassy redhead?? An amazing pair, the two love entertaining visitors, but also understand the importance of a nice afternoon nap.
Peep was one of a litter of kittens born to Miss Bea, their stray calico mom, in the Germantown section of Philadephia. The family was saved by a nice woman who decided to give them all a second chance. Renamed Tiki, this little guy gets along great with his big brother Luda, who apparently won't let him get away without a proper grooming. Tiki, Luda, and their mom are one happy family!
Bunny (now Lola) was Peep's sister and a stunning calico just like her mom. She found a happy new home in Manayunk and shares it with her mom and dad, plus her brother Rico, another rescue kitty!
Egg was another of Miss Bea's kids and was the shyest of the bunch. This handsome gray and white tabby was finally adopted by his new dad and gets plenty of love from the household roommates, too. As you can see, he's on the move in his new home!
Pia was so named because she was found under the seat of a Piaggio scooter. In keeping with her impeccable taste, she chose a lovely silver scooter owned by a vet, who promptly took her inside. Pia then chose the finest of foster homes with plenty of kitty friends, toys, and love. She and her foster buddy Elise were adopted to a wonderful new home where they have the run of the whole place and lots of attention from their new mom.
Elise arrived at a local vet office in a litter of tabby kittens. Full of kittenish spunk, she and her buddy Pia enjoyed living the high life in their foster home. The two girls were eventually adopted together to a wonderful new home!
Gladys was found wandering the streets in northwest Philly and begging for attention. She found a sympathetic passerby and hopped right into the car--little did she know this was the best decision she'd ever make! Gladys spent some well-earned time in a comfy foster home before finding her new dad. She has a whole house to herself and gets plenty of love!
Meatball was found as a tiny kitten with a large wound on her neck. She was a tough little thing though, and healed nicely with no signs of ever slowing down. Thanks to her foster dad, this dynamo kitten became an internet celebrity, featuring an extensive fan club, frequent visitors, and her own desktop wallpaper. Now she lives with her new mom, who couldn't be happier to have Meatball's kittenish energy around! She reports that Meatball's favorite new toys include slippers, the bathtub, and toilet paper. Sparks (now "Elliott") was running loose at a nearby park, and brought to us in a shopping bag! Extremely active and affectionate, he was cleaned-up, tested, and ready for adoption. Lucky for Sparks, a couple in Bella Vista fell in love with his dashing good looks and overlooked his pesky kitten personality (he bit them during his interview!). Now, he's settled in his new home and busy making new friends, playing with his vast collection of toys, and minimally aggravating his big sister, Irene.
